R. Richard Gergel
Bio
Richie Gergel is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He received an undergraduate from New York University (B.A., 2007). Richie also received a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University (M.S., 2010) and worked as an investigative reporter and producer for CNN, NBC and Vice. Richie attended the University of South Carolina Law School (J.D., 2019), where he won the writing award for the best appellate brief, competed on the mock trial and moot court teams, and was a student member of John Belton O'Neall American Inn of Court and the Order of the Barristers. Richie joined Pierce Sloan in 2019 and has practiced in the areas of wrongful death, personal injury, civil rights/Section 1983 liability, class action litigation and business litigation.
